This Fire Engine Hire experience provides families with the opportunity to explore our fire engines, equipment and interactive activities at the Fire House, the operational home of Fire Engine Hire in Mordialloc.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy a variety of games and activities including table tennis, shuffleboard, air hockey, skeet ball and our giant inflatable kick ball dart wall.
Firefighter-themed books, games, soft play equipment and role-play resources are available for younger visitors to explore and enjoy.
Access to kitchen facilities including a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer, pie warmer, toaster, kettle and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

The Fire House is the operational home of Fire Engine Hire. Experiences are available by prior arrangement as part of selected Fire Engine Hire services and activities.

The time is dependent on how many kids and how many rides we are doing. For between 1-15 kids we say up to 60mins for our visit. 15+ kids may require some more time for rides and can be discussed with the team at Fire Engine Hire when enquiring.
We estimate 3 rides will cover up to 15 kids for your event.
We understand that additional kids and adults also want to go for a ride once they see how much fun it is! If time permits, we can 100% do additional rides on the day, which will be added to your total invoice post the event, or paid for on the day if you have pre paid your event.
We do suggest that we arrive about 20- 30mins after your party has started, to allow for any latecomers and the kids can get settled at the event.
We may have a transport fee to your event, depending on where it is being held and where the truck is coming from on the day. We are a Bayside located business, the team at Fire Engine Hire will provide you with a quote prior to booking so you are aware of any additional costs.
Our experience with kids under 5 with the surprise of the fire engine can be at times, a bit overwhelming. We do suggest letting the kids know that a fire engine is going to be there at the event, preparing them for it's arrival.
We do appreciate every child is going to react differently, so please chat with the team at Fire Engine Hire and they can work with you on any surprise and delight you may have in mind.
We plan our arrival to your event at the time we have discussed in your booking.
As soon as we arrive, we start with introducing the kids to some of the equipment, where they can touch and feel some of what is inside. This is the chance to take a bunch of photos, as we have some helmets and jackets if the kids want to wear them.
If you have requested the fire extinguisher activity, we demonstrate how they work and then the kids get a chance to use them.
We then organise with the host for the kids to take turns inside the truck for rides. We can take up to 7 in one of our trucks, 6 people in another. We will find a small lap around the party for approx. 5 to 7 min rides.
We may need multiple rides which is dependant on how many kids want to go for a ride on the day.
Note: For parties with more than 15 kids, please choose additional rides to ensure that no one misses out.
We suggest cake once the fire truck activities are complete, but you might decide to serve some food/ snacks while there are groups out having their rides.
Yes; if they are participating in the rides, they will need to be considered in the amount of rides that need to be completed. 6-7 people can ride in the truck at a time. We can include parents, this will be discussed with a Fire Engine Hire team member on the day.
We are a Melbourne based company, we would love to support parties around the country, but we do not have the opportunity to do so at this stage.
If you are located in NSW we do recommend if you have not visited it already, the Museum of Fire https://www.museumoffire.net/.
They don’t do events as far as I am aware, but they do offer the opportunity to see and interact with their vehicles and on some days do take kids for rides.
